ABS-CBN2 decided to change non-primetime programming on this day to counter the hefty ratings advances made by GMA7 due to its introduction of movies as pre-programming for Eat...Bulaga! (EB) last Aug. 2. This was made worst with Pilipinas Win Na Win less-than-satisfactory ratings. This allowed the Kapuso network to regain not only traditional turf Mega Manila but more importantly, to conquer the National territory noontime timeslot!
