“The Longest Night Ever”
It was the first night of the 18 celebrity castaways together as one tribe in the camp.
After several futile attempts by some castaways to create fire, it was the SexBomb dancer, Aira Bermudez who finally succeeded with a little help from Princess. Everyone rejoiced like it was a major feat.
Later, some of the castaways head out to scour for food. Akihiro didn’t find any coconut fruit after trying to climb a tree. Mico, on the other hand didn’t spot some fish and settled for sea shells instead.
Michelle said that it was Yaya Moi and Buhawi who were more efficient in looking for food. Michelle contented herself with the small oysters some of them have found, while Solenn didn’t get a share since she was allergic to it. But for Mico, the oyster was like the best food he ever tasted.
The night was still young and the worst was yet to come.
The rain fell. Their shelter and ponchos were not enough to keep the castaways dry.
For Ervic, it was the worst night he ever experienced.
“Akala ko madali lang ‘yung Survivor, tapos first night ko ito na ‘yung pinakamatinding gabi na pinagdaanan ko na puro putik ‘yung katawan ko, tapos matutulog ako nang nakaupo na sobrang giniginaw ako,” Ervic said.
Solenn couldn’t sleep because her raincoat was wet inside out.
“It’s the longest night of my life,” she recalled.
Ian had his share of complaints too.
“I am so prone to mosquito bites. Hindi ko alam kung bakit. Matamis ‘yung dugo ko,” Ian said. “I never went camping when I was little. I was always a city boy. City slicker. 36 days of this. Wow! Crazy,” he added.
Meanwhile, Buwi, Doc Ferds and Mico managed to drink the water gathered by their ponchos. For Aubrey, the rain made them realize that they are already in the game; that they are already castaways.
“Nagsisimula na tayo tapos parang may naririnig ako na siyempre ‘yung mga batang ‘I can’t take it, three days of like this. Sabi ko, ‘D’yos ko po, one day ka pa lang!” Aubrey said.
Karen, on the other hand, had no time to complain.
“Kung gusto mo dito sa show na ito at nag-eenjoy ka, gagawa at gagawa ka ng paraan. Ulan lang ‘yan e. Oo, pwede kang magkasakit pero it’s all in the mind,” she said.
Meanwhile, Pretty Trizsa willingly played the role of the ice-breaker, cracking some jokes to entertain the rest of his tribe mates.
But it was a long night indeed and nobody was able to sleep, especially when some of them made quite a noise. Aubrey complained that Elma and Myka kept her from sleeping.
Day 2
The morning finally came and most of the castaways made themselves useful by getting some crabs and firewood. After eating, Pretty Trizsa and Aubrey shared a moment to gossip about the “Hot Mama’s” love life.
“Sinong mas bongga, si Jon o si Troy?” Trizsa asked.
To which Aubrey replied, “Read between the lines. My dream guy is now with me. Wala na, tapos na 'yung kay Jon.”
"Ako 'yung dream guy is now with you!" Trizsa joked.
"Hindi ikaw! Si Troy," Aubrey answered.
It was no secret that Aubrey and Jon were an item way back. According to Aubrey, they were together for a year and a half. Aubrey said that she was trying to avoid having a conversation with him to respect his relationship with Michelle.
Jon, on the other hand, was rather curious of what Aubrey was up to.
“What is she here for? To try and win? To try and play? Or is she here for exposure and waste another spot that somebody else could use. ,” Jon said.
But Jon would not let his guard down.
“She could try play the flirt card. She might say, 'let's form an alliance, we were together before, we know each other.' But at the end of the game, she could pull the carpet from underneath me and vote me out,” Jon said. “On my end, I don’t trust her,” he affirmed.
Later, the castaways received their first tree mail which Ian attempted to read:
“Tubig, apoy, lupa, at hangin; Ang apat na elemento ay pagsama-samahin. Ipunin ang lakas. Ipunin ang galing. Dahil ang kasama ay kalaban ninyo na rin.”
It’s going to be their first reward challenge.
