The Power of Three

Day 3

It was the first decent meal of the 17 castaways at the camp after some of them managed to get small crabs and clams.

Karen, Elma and Aira expressed their satisfaction over the food that they all had to share together. For Buhawi, until that day everyone was still like a family and nobody had shown any negative attitude.

Later, Karen got a tree mail and everyone was excited about it thinking that a feast was waiting for them.

The tree mail said: “Sa kabilang isla, may regalong nakahain para sa inyo,
Dalhin ang buong tribo at pagsaluhan ang mga ito.”

When the castaways got to the site, they found out that they had to catch five live chickens.

Elma got the first chicken and rejoiced about it. Doc Ferds got the second. Myka was already thinking about cooking “Tinola” – because they needed the soup.

The fowls scattered and hid behind the bushes. Another one flew on a tree, but Jon just leaped and grabbed it.

Later, when Myka found where some of the chickens were hiding, she instructed Pretty Trizsa to help catch them since he was not doing anything. But the standup comedian got irritated and asked Myka to do it herself.

Trizsa: “E di kunin mo.”
Myka: “Ikaw kaya muna, tutal, wala ka pang nahuli.”
Trizsa: “I want my lawyer.”

Trizsa said that Myka should’ve kept her mouth shut.

“Hindi sana siya nag-ingay. Nabugaw niya tuloy iyong chicken. Sana ang ginawa niya, umikot siya at kinlose niya iyong mouth niya na kasing kulay ng pusit!” Trizsa said.

The castaways caught four chickens. Doc Ferds considered their catch as gold because it would be the first time for them to eat real meat.

The First Tribal Council

Richard welcomed the castaways to their first tribal council and instructed them to light their torches. He then announced that Princess Snell already quit the game.

“Hindi siya umubra sa Survivor Philippines. Pinili niyang bumalik sa Maynila. Pergo good new ito para sa inyo, nabawasan na kayo ng kalaban,” Richard said.

Richard proceeded by asking Elma what she felt about being with the other celebrity castaways. The champion athlete said that she was a bit nervous about her competitors.

When asked about their personal belongings being burned, Solenn said that she wanted to cry while Myka said that those were her most important stuff.

Richard then asked Jon and Ian about the trek. Ian admitted that he lost his name plate which might have caused a little delay for them. But he was glad that his tribe mates understood.

When asked about his experiences in the camp, Doc Ferds said that it was “the most difficult three days of his life.”

Karen, meanwhile, said that the most difficult part of camp life was the rain and described their experience as “wild.”

Richard then asked her if someone already annoyed her in the camp, to which Karen replied, “Wala, mababait naman sila e.”

When Richard asked Buhawi about winning the first challenge thus making him a tribe leader, the band member admitted that he was not fit for the role. The second winner of the challenge, Aira, stressed that she didn’t think she was a threat after her performance.

When asked about forming alliances, Mico said that they haven’t established any at that point of the game since all they did was help each other out in the camp. Michelle, meanwhile, admitted that she had one sure alliance (Jon) but she believed that there were already clear threats among them.

On strategy, Akihiro said that he just wanted to enjoy himself and didn’t want to think much about his move.

The Second Scroll

Richard then asked Buhawi to wear a green arm band which symbolizes being a tribe leader. He then asked Aira to read her scroll. It said that Aira would become the second tribe leader. She then received a yellow arm band.

According to the scroll, nobody would go home and the castaways would vote for the third tribe leader. Richard then instructed the castaways to cast their vote.

The 17 castaways then proceeded to vote.

Richard counted the votes. The votes were divided among Elma, Jon, Doc Ferds and a surprise vote for Trizsa, courtesy of Myka. Myka probably thought that she should vote someone out of the game.

When Richard announced the vote for Trizsa, the standup comedian said that it was Myka who voted for her. Embarrassed, Myka just covered her face.

After tallying the votes, Richard declared that Jon was the third tribe leader to receive the red arm band.

But the tribal council was far from over.

“Let’s make this tribal council more interesting, may hamon ako sa inyo,” Richard announced.
