Starting this September 12, TV5s Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum will get viewers hooked on a compelling story of how a streetsmart con artist crosses path with a young heiress. Together, they take on an exciting adventure as they journey to uncover the hidden truths surrounding their lives and realize their true feelings for each other.
Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum presents the story of Benjamin �Ben� Maningding (JC De Vera), a kind-hearted con artist and street thief who victimizes only wealthy and arrogant people. Known as a modern-day Robin Hood for using the money he steals to help the poor and the needy, Ben is a complex yet endearing character who gets enmeshed in a sticky situation that will have him travelling thousands of miles away into a foreign land to do what is right and protect someone close to his heart.
In a sudden twist of fate, Ben meets Bernadette �Bing� Grace (Jasmine Curtis Smith), an Australian Pinay who lives a sheltered life with her parents in Australia. Her wish to explore the world and find the freedom to express herself is granted when her grandfather, Lolo Teodorico (played by Noel Trinidad), decides to come home to the Philippines and bring her with him.
Thus begins the story of how Ben and Bing discover the facts of life the hard way but at the same time learn the inescapable truth that binds their destinies.
